It is estimated that 20-25 thousand people stay overnight in Adana and its surroundings for the carnival, while the number of day-trippers from outside the city is around 75-80 thousand. In 2012, the total number of tourists staying in Adana was 544,065 (114,266 foreign and 429,799 domestic), while this number reached 911,000 in 2016.
